Lenoir County Man Arrested Following Larceny/Fraud Investigation
On August 11, 2026, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office received a report involving a computer that had been reported stolen. Detectives with the General Investigations Division began investigating the incident.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Christian Vandiford, 23, of Lenoir County, had fraudulently obtained a computer from a company and later sold the computer for $900.
As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Vandiford on August 17, 2026. Vandiford was charged with one count of Felony Larceny and one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
On August 18, 2026, Vandiford was arrested by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office C-Shift. He was transported to the Lenoir County Detention Center, where he was served with the outstanding warrant and received a $10,000 secured bond.
