Obituary: Beth Enzor
Elizabeth "Beth" Ann McNeill Enzor passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 19, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born in Fair Bluff, North Carolina on September 12, 1940, Beth was the daughter of Montgomery and Ruth McNeill. A 1958 graduate of Fair Bluff High School, she went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business from Peace Junior College in 1960.
In December of that same year, she married the love of her life, Earl Enzor. Their story began long before marriage, however, as Beth and Earl grew up only a few miles apart, attended the same school and church, and shared a lifelong friendship rooted in faith. Together, they built a life centered on family, service, and trust in God's guidance.
After their marriage, Beth and Earl moved to Trenton, North Carolina, where they began their careers. After a brief time spent in Fayetteville, they settled in Kinston in 1971, where they made their home and raised their family.
Dedicating more than 30 years of service to the State of North Carolina, Beth worked as a secretary for the Jones County School System and later for Caswell Center before her retirement.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Beth devoted much of her life to her church communities at Trenton Baptist Church, Neuse Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Kinston. She was a founding member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry at First Baptist Church, a labor of love through which prayer shawls were shared with people in the local community, across the nation, and even in the Middle East.
Beth's quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness touched everyone who knew her. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, she was always ready to help others and offer words of encouragement. Those who spent time with Beth often left feeling comforted by her calm presence and the love she so freely shared.
Beth and Earl's faith was the foundation of their lives, and together they passed their Christian values and devotion to God on to their children and grandchildren.
A memorial service to honor Bethโs life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Rouse Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
Beth is survived by her husband of 65 years, Earl Enzor; her son, Harris Enzor and wife Melissa (Morgan) of Snow Hill, North Carolina; her daughter, Myra Aycock and husband Danny of Kinston, North Carolina; and her grandsons, Brody Aycock and Eli Aycock of Wyse Fork, North Carolina. She is also survived by nieces and nephews living in Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin, and throughout North and South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Montgomery and Ruth McNeill, and by her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Bill King, all of Fair Bluff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607; or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
