Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Participates in Community Helpers Week at Deep Run Childcare

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office was proud to participate in Community Helpers Week at Deep Run Childcare, an event designed to introduce young children to the people in the community who help keep things safe and running smoothly each day.

During the visit, children had the opportunity to meet deputies, learn about law enforcement, and get an up close look at a marked patrol vehicle as well as the Sheriff’s Office’s Bearcat, affectionately referred to by the kids as the “Monster Truck.”

Events such as Community Helpers Week provide a valuable opportunity for children to interact with first responders in a positive and engaging environment while learning about the important roles they serve in the community.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is thankful to Deep Run Childcare for the invitation and for allowing deputies to be a part of such an awesome event.

Sheriff Jackie Rogers stated, “Building positive relationships with our youth starts at an early age, and we appreciate every opportunity to connect with children in our community in a fun and meaningful way.”
