Southern Bank of Kinston Joins LCC Golf Classic as First-Time Putting Contest Sponsor

The Lenoir Community College Foundation is proud to welcome Southern Bank of Kinston as a first-time Putting Contest Sponsor of this year’s LCC Golf Classic. Since its inception, this event has raised more than $700,000 to support student scholarships at LCC.

Last year’s tournament welcomed over 130 golfers, and the Foundation is anticipating even greater attendance this year.

The 2026 LCC Golf Classic will take place on Thursday, May 14, at the Kinston Country Club. As the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, the tournament helps support the general scholarship fund. Thanks to the success of events like this, the LCC Foundation awarded $530,000 in scholarships last year.

This year’s sponsors include Southern Bank of Kinston, Piggly Wiggly Fresh Buy, Massey Toyota, Airbus, West Pharmaceutical, Crown Equipment Corporation, WRNS, and many other generous local businesses. Their support enables the LCC Foundation to assist hundreds of students each year with tuition, books, and emergency loans.

For more information about the tournament or to explore sponsorship opportunities, please contact Katherine Pearson, Development Coordinator for LCC, at 252-233-6843 or via email at kwpearson52@lenoircc.edu
