Kinston police arrest Lenoir County woman after K-9 alerts during traffic stop
On March 5, 2026, at approximately 1:18 a.m., KPD A-Squad officers conducted a traffic stop on E. New Bern Road for motor vehicle violations. Officers identified the driver as 41-year-old Crystal Fischer of Lenoir County.
During the stop, K9 Knox was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Knox alerted to the presence of contraband. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of Cocaine, Suboxone, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Fischer was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance
- Simple Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance
In addition to the above charges, officers also served Fischer with an Order for Arrest from Wayne County.
