Lenoir County Man Arrested During Traffic Stop

On March 2, 2026, KPD B-Squad officers conducted a traffic stop on W Vernon Avenue involving 34-year-old Joseph Soto of Lenoir County.

During the course of the stop, officers conducted a search of the vehicle. The search resulted in the discovery of marijuana, Diazepam pills, Oxycodone pills, Adderall pills, and drug paraphernalia.

Soto was taken into custody and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was charged with the following:

- Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance

- Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance

- Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana

- Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for Keeping Controlled Substances

- Simple Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
