I was reminded the other day that some people were not taught to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Some people did not attend Sunday School or have parents who drilled the Golden Rule into them. They bully their way through life making up stories to fit what their goals are. They lie on people with no regard to what it does to the other person. As long as they get what they want, they steam-roll over and through others to get it.
It takes deep strength to withstand a smear campaign. When one covers you, just hold on to faith that right ultimately prevails. Even when it doesn't look like it, you'd be surprised how many people can see to the truth. Even if someone in a high position says that a person is a triangle, but that person is a circle, those who seek truth will see the circle. Let those be the ones who matter.
And remember that our time in this life on earth is finite. We don't get to live forever. Let's be sure to maintain our integrity as we walk the paths we have to take. Sometimes we will have to cry tears of disappointment due to unfair turns of events. But at other times we will be able to share tears of joy with those who love and support us. Dwell on those times.
