KPD: South Carolina Man Arrested for Methamphetamine

On March 9, 2026, officers with the Kinston Police Department’s C-Squad conducted a traffic stop on East King Street involving 28-year-old Ryan Penny of Longs, South Carolina.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Penny was taken into custody and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was charged with the following:

• Possession of Methamphetamine

• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

• Traffic Violations
