Man arrested on child human trafficking charges in Jones County investigation

Kaleb Mashke was arrested Feb. 25, 2026, in a joint investigation involving the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the FBI, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Mashke is charged with felony human trafficking of a child victim and felony promoting prostitution of a minor, profiting, the statement said.

Authorities said Mashke is being held at the Onslow County Jail without bond. The investigation remains active, and the sheriff’s office said no further comment would be provided at this time.
