Convicted felon arrested after rifle located during search

On October 14, 2026, at approximately 2:07 p.m., members of the Kinston-Lenoir Drug Task Force, along with KPD’s C-Squad and the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, conducted a search of a residence in the 1400 block of Railfence Drive.

The search was conducted following a complaint that 26-year-old Kourageous Parker, a convicted felon, was in possession of a rifle.

During the search, officers located a rifle and took Parker into custody without incident.

Parker was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and is currently being held in the Lenoir County Jail without bond.
