NWS: Strong cold Front to bring rain, gusty winds and coastal flooding concerns this weekend
What to expect:
Dry with Record to near-record highs continuing through Friday.
Rain behind a strong cold front on Saturday.
Strengthening N to NE winds also develop behind this front and developing offshore low this weekend with gales and very hazardous seas for the marine areas, strong winds for the coast.
How close the low forms to the coast and for how long dictates the magnitude of coastal impacts. But for now, we are certain that gusty winds with high waves, and at least some minor coastal impacts with high surf, coastal flooding, and beach erosion develop this weekend, and possibly even into next week.
