KPD Arrests Wanted Subject on Drug Charges

On January 20, 2026, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s D-Squad checked out with a suspicious vehicle in the area of Plaza Boulevard.

Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Adam Spence (38), and determined he was wanted for an unrelated Order for Arrest. During the arrest, officers located cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Spence’s possession.

Spence was taken into custody and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was booked without bond due to being on pretrial release at the time of the arrest.
