Drug Arrest Made During KPD Checking Station
On March 14, 2025, officers with the Kinston Police Department’s A-Squad were conducting a checking station in the 200 block of West Gordon Street. During the operation, officers made contact with Heather Hunt, 33, of Kinston.
While addressing multiple motor vehicle violations, officers initiated a search of the vehicle with assistance from K9 Knox. The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Hunt was arrested on scene and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where she was charged with the following offenses:
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Methamphetamine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Felony Possession of Cocaine
Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
