Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest on HWY 58 South

On May 15, 2025, at approximately 3:37 a.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s C-Squad conducted a traffic stop on Highway 58 South. During the stop, officers identified the driver as Jacob Ordonez, 32, of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The investigation during the stop resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Ordonez was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail and charged with the following offenses:

Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Schedule II (PWIMSD Schedule II)

Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance Use

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance
