Two Arrested Following Narcotics Investigation at Local Convenience Store

On January 13, 2026, narcotics detectives with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (NC ALE), arrested a 32-year-old Lenoir County male and a 34-year-old Lenoir County female at the Star Mini Mart located on Poole Road.

In December 2025, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit initiated an investigation into the sale of controlled substances from the Star Mini Mart on Poole Road. As a result of the investigation, the store owner and an employee were identified as suspects.

The Star Mini Mart owner, Sam Mohammed Musead Dalali, 32, of Kinston, and store clerk Angela Harris, 34, of Kinston, were arrested and served with outstanding warrants.

Charges:

Dalali:
• Sell/Deliver Marijuana
• Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Marijuana

Harris:
• Sell/Deliver Marijuana
• Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Marijuana

Dalali was issued a $10,000 secured bond. Harris was issued a $2,500 secured bond.
