Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins to open new combo store in Kinston Friday
DUNKIN’ and Baskin-Robbins will celebrate the grand opening of a new combination location in Kinston on Friday, Jan. 16, with giveaways and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The store, located at 1005 W. New Bern Road, will open at 8 a.m. The first 100 guests in line beginning at that time will receive free coffee for a year, while supplies last.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by franchise owner Shreeji Donuts Group is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. and will include members of the Kinston community and local dignitaries.
The new restaurant is a Next Generation Dunkin’ design and combines both Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins under one roof. The 2,100-square-foot location includes seating for 24 guests indoors and 20 outdoors and will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
According to the company, the location features updated design elements, including a front-facing bakery case, tap systems for cold beverages such as iced coffee and cold brew, and upgraded espresso equipment. The drive-thru includes an On-the-Go lane for Dunkin’ Rewards members who order ahead through the mobile app.
The restaurant is also designated as a DD Green Achievement location, designed to use approximately 25 percent less energy than a standard Dunkin’ restaurant.
During the grand opening celebration, guests can also enjoy free merchandise giveaways, a live DJ, face painting, and appearances by brand mascots.
Shreeji Donuts Group owns and operates 16 Dunkin’ locations across the Carolinas.
The free coffee promotion is open to North Carolina residents age 18 and older in the Kinston area. Giveaway recipients will receive a coupon book containing four free medium hot or iced coffee coupons per month for 14 months, redeemable only at the Kinston location.
