Trafficking Arrest Made After Citizen Complaint
The Lenoir County SCARR (Street Crime and Rapid Response) Unit has made two arrests following an investigation that originated from a citizen complaint regarding suspected illegal drug activity in the county.
On August 21, 2025, SCARR Detectives identified Keshaun Strickland, age 33, of Greenville, NC, as a suspect in the case. Subsequent search warrants were executed at two storage facilities in Lenoir County occupied by Mr. Strickland. During the searches, detectives seized U.S. currency, trafficking quantities of cocaine (a Schedule II controlled substance), and materials commonly used for the packaging and distribution of narcotics.
As a result, Mr. Strickland was charged with the following offenses:
· Felony Trafficking in Cocaine
· Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance
· (2 counts) Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
· Felony Conspiracy
Mr. Strickland was apprehended in Pitt County, where he was held on a no-bond hold due to being on pretrial release for prior charges. He was later transferred to the Lenoir County Detention Center, where he appeared before a magistrate and received a secured bond of $40,000 for the new charges.
Additionally, investigators identified Shaniqua Lowe, age 35, also of Greenville, as a co-conspirator in this case. Ms. Lowe was charged with Felony Conspiracy and was arrested in Pitt County. She received a $2,500 bond.
The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Kinston Police Department and the Greenville Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
