Lenoir Community College Launches LCC Online, Expanding Flexible, Affordable Education Options
By: Megan Wade
Lenoir Community College has officially launched LCC Online, a new way for students to earn the same high-quality degrees offered on campus—anytime, anywhere. The launch took place at the College’s Professional Development Day on August 13, marking the beginning of a new era in flexible, accessible learning for students near and far. LCC Online offers more than 50 fully online credentials and over 500 online courses designed to meet the needs of busy adults, working professionals, and parents seeking flexibility in their education.
“LCC Online is a transformational moment for our college,” said Dr. Rusty Hunt, President of Lenoir Community College. “We are removing barriers to higher education by making it possible for students to access the same quality instruction, resources, and support services we offer on campus—completely online. This means more people in our community and beyond can achieve their educational and career goals without sacrificing their personal or professional commitments.”
Affordability is a key advantage of LCC Online. Students pay the same low tuition rates as the College’s traditional programs, and when paired with federal financial aid and scholarship programs such as the LCC Guarantee, many students pay little to nothing out of pocket for their education.
With classes starting every eight weeks, LCC Online students have the flexibility to begin their studies throughout the year. They also receive full support services—including academic advising, tutoring, career assistance, and more—ensuring the same student-centered experience as LCC’s traditional programs.
Popular online programs include Accounting, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, and Business Administration, among many others. Students can apply, be accepted, and access advising entirely online, making it easier than ever to start or complete a degree.
