**SHOOTING INCIDENT**

On 06/04/25 at approximately 4:50pm, SHPD was dispatched to the 500 block of Jordan Ave. to investigate a reported shots fired call. Minutes later, Corporal Payton and Chief Smith arrived on scene and secured the area for investigative purposes. The evidence on scene, and witness statements indicated that a vehicle had driven by the 500 block of the property, fired shots from the vehicle towards the apartments and drove away; there was also evidence of returned fire from the apartment area towards Jordan Ave.

Corporal Payton collaborated with Deputy Williams of Greene County Sheriff’s Office throughout the night and developed a suspect profile. On 06/05/25 at approximately 3:15 pm, Deputy Williams located one suspect on Hwy 13 S. and performed a vehicle stop, detaining the suspect. Chief Smith and Cpl. Payton interviewed the suspect and developed probable cause to arrest Zacchaeus Hussey as one of the perpetrators of the shooting incident.

SHPD would like to thank GCSO for their assistance in this investigation.

Anyone with further information is encouraged to call Snow Hill PD at 252-747-3414 or 252-560-9022
