Neuse Regional Libraries Summer Reading Programs

As the school year comes to a close and summer officially begins, Neuse Regional Libraries are excited to kick off our Summer Reading Programs for patrons of all ages. The theme this year is Color Your World, and all are invited to join us for a summer filled with reading, art, crafts, and more.
Weekly programs for our little learners follow the summer reading theme and are offered at the following Neuse Regional Library locations:
The Summer Reading Program is geared for children ages 5-12 and runs from June 9 - July 31. Summer Reading sessions are scheduled as follows:
Comfort Public Library - Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.
Greene County Public Library - Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m.
Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library - Thursdays at 3:00 p.m.
La Grange Public Library- Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m.
Maysville Public Library - Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.
Pink Hill Public Library - Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
Pollocksville Public Library - Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.
Trenton Public Library - Thursdays at 3:00 p.m.
The Teen Summer Reading Program is geared towards teens ages 13-17 and runs from June 9 - July 31. Teen Summer Reading sessions are scheduled as follows, with Pop-Up programs being offered at the Jones County Public Libraries:
Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library - Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.
La Grange Public Library- Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.
Pink Hill Public Library - Weekly at 4:30 p.m.
Special Programs - Courtesy of a Grassroots Grant funded by the North Carolina Arts Council, which is a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, award-winning magician and storyteller Dana Hill will join us for three shows. Dana Hill’s artful illusions combine wonder, comedy, and fun for the whole family

La Grange Public Library- Tuesday, June 24 at 4:30 p.m.
Pink Hill Public Library - Friday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m.
Adult SRP
Neuse Regional Libraries are also offering a region-wide Adult Summer Reading Program from June 16 to August 15. Sign up today to receive a booklet with an art theme that presents activities, including attending programs, completing challenges and puzzles, and a geocaching adventure. Programs include book discussions, crafting activities across the region, and a presentation on how to start an art collection on a budget from local SMARTist Jamil Burton. Completion of and/or attending activities gives participants entries to a raffle for one of three color-themed gift baskets (Red, Yellow, or Blue), which will include gifts including tumblers, book lights, an Amazon gift card for $25, scented candles, and more.
