A Lenoir County man received a 10-year sentence Thursday for an armed robbery he committed last year.

Marshall Grady, then 21, was arrested and charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor after an April 25, 2024 incident at the Speedway convenience store, 1608 U.S. Highway 258 South. Grady robbed the store and took cash; following about a 5-hour manhunt, he was found in an abandoned church at 508 E. New Bern Road and arrested.

At that time, he was charged with:

Following the investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office took over the case and on Thursday, Grady pled guilty. He received a 120-month sentence in federal prison.
