Two arrested in Lenoir County child abuse investigation

Two people are behind bars with $1 million bonds after being arrested for child abuse by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office’s General Investigation Division (GID).

Earlier today, Tracie Dawn Coston, 39, and Brandon Lee Nash, both of the 1900 block of Spiritual Drive in Lenoir County, were each arrested and charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury and felony child neglect (serious physical injury).

Today’s arrests were the result of an investigation that was started Monday by the LCSO’s GID. Coston and Nash were arrested and placed in the Lenoir County Jail, each with $1 million secured bonds.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
