Lenoir County man arrested, found in Possession of Methamphetamine

At approximately 12:51 AM on May 12, 2025, officers from the Kinston Police Department’s C-Squad conducted a traffic stop on W Vernon Avenue near Greenbriar Road for a motor vehicle violation. During the stop, officers identified the driver as Ricky Moody, 50, of Lenoir County, who had an outstanding Order for Arrest.

Moody was taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with the following offenses:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Marijuana Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Served with the outstanding Order for Arrest

A passenger in the vehicle, Deliah Braxton, 39, also of Lenoir County, was cited for Simple Possession of Marijuana and released at the scene.
