Cecilia Holden to Speak at LCC’s 63rd Commencement on May 8

Lenoir Community College will celebrate its 63rd commencement at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, in the Student Center. Cecilia Holden, President and CEO of myFutureNC, will serve as the featured speaker. 

More than 350 graduates are eligible to receive degrees this year. Admission to the ceremony is by ticket only as seating is limited. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the College’s website at www.lenoircc.edu

Holden serves as the President and CEO for myFutureNC, a statewide initiative focused on the state’s educational attainment goal. Her distinguished career in public service includes roles as Chief of Staff for the North Carolina Department of Commerce and Director of Government and Community Affairs for the State Board of Education. Her private sector experience includes a career with IBM, as well as a Registered Investment Advisory firm. Holden holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University, a certificate in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina School of Government, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
