LCSO concludes narcotics investigation; one arrested for trafficking charges

Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Concludes Narcotics Investigation; One Arrested on Trafficking Charges

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit has concluded an investigation into the distribution of fentanyl throughout Lenoir County, resulting in the arrest of a Kinston woman on multiple trafficking charges.

On December 9, 2025, investigators located Winter Watson, 35, of Kinston, at a residence off British Road. Watson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lenoir County Jail.

Following the investigation, Watson was charged with:

  • Trafficking Opium/Heroin (x4)

Watson received a $500,000 secured bond.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to combating the spread of dangerous narcotics within the county and will continue proactive enforcement efforts to protect the community.
