Evelyn Dove Coleman: The Sadie Hawkins Dance Concept

Evelyn Dove Coleman: The Sadie Hawkins Dance Concept

Years ago, I wrote a book as a project of PathChoice Ministry called "Let Him Find You."  I used a platform called CreateSpace to write the book and design the cover.  The cover is a scene of one of my favorite places to visit with visible ocean waves. After I wrote this book, Amazon acquired CreateSpace.

The book is a culmination of counseling advice given to people for decades. We used the book in one of our inspirational services where readers could discuss, agree or disagree, and offer their own opinions. You know that everyone has an opinion and those opinions can be very diverse. When differing opinions converge, the conversation can be invigorating. So was that meeting about the book.

Some people had old-fashioned ideas about dating, while others felt that those ways of thinking are outdated. One participant lauded the Sadie Hawkins dances where ladies invite the gentlemen to attend as their dates. Another woman said the women's liberation movement equalized genders in all aspects of living.  All were able to agree, though, that honesty and communication are the bedrocks of relationships no matter who reaches out first.

It's a small book in size and makes a great holiday stocking stuffer. The back cover has the following quote:

"A brief must-read for every woman of every age. The Bible says "A man who finds a wife finds a good thing." A man is a natural hunter, out there hunting, looking for his other half to make him feel complete. This book tells women how to let the men who are hunting for them find them in the proper manner. It includes a tip for good men also."
