Road closure scheduled for pipe replacement near Kinston
Lenoir Maintenance has scheduled a pipe/crossline Replacement on Hillcrest Rd on Tuesday Oct 14th 2025 at 8:00 AM.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced a temporary road closure on SR-1552 in Lenoir County for maintenance work. The closure will begin Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 8 a.m. and continue through Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m., with construction running continuously during that time.
The road will be closed in both directions near Kinston as crews replace a pipe. Traffic will be detoured via SR-1557 (Hull Road) to NC 258 North to U.S. Highway 70. NCDOT expects minimal traffic backup during the work.
