KPD's Violent Crime Action Team apprehends wanted fugitive

On March 7th, KPD's Violent Crime Action Team located and apprehended a wanted fugitive, Alvion Burney, with the assistance of the NC SBI and KPD's D-Squad. Burney was wanted for a felony narcotics case from January, 2023. During the arrest, Burney was in possession of a handgun, Cocaine, MDMA, Marijuana, US Currency, and Drug Paraphernalia.

In addition to the warrant, Burney was charged with the following:

- Possession of Firearm by Felon

- PWISD MDMA

- PWISD Cocaine

- PWISD Marijuana

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
