Greene County Kids on Stage presents brand new show

Snow Hill - Greene County Kids on Stage group has entered into a new territory with their latest production. This time KOS will be premiering a brand new musical called May We All as part of their brand new Conservatory program. The KOS Conservatory Program is different than previous shows because it features both kids and adults in this production. The program is modeled after Broadway companies with fast paced rehearsals over a short period of time. The cast of 31 had been rehearsing the show only since the end of January. Parker Harris, the Artistic Director of KOS hopes that “this new format will provide unique and diverse opportunities for cast members who are looking for experiences and hoping to apply to college theatre programs.”

May We All is a country music show that takes the audience back to a town called Harmony, Tennessee. The story follows the journey of a disheartened country music singer hopeful and her experiences of defeat and returning home to face the ones she loves. The show features musical numbers from country music greats Florida Georgia Line, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Brooks & Dunn, Keith Urban, and many other recognizable songs.

Harris shared as he was describing this new show “I am incredibly honored to be working on this brand new musical with our KOS Conservatory cast. From the moment I learned about MAY WE ALL, I knew this show had to be brought to Eastern North Carolina. I saw the production in Nashville this past summer and immediately began figuring out how we could make this happen for our area. After many emails, phone calls, and lots of determination, we are one of the very first organizations that are producing the show!”

The show, which features a cameo by Harris himself, opens March 24 at the Greene County Wellness Center at 7pm and runs two weekends closing on Sunday April 2. Tickets are $10 and are available online or at the door.

Following May We All, KOS Rising Star Academy will present Disney’s Lion King Jr, May 5 -7 and this summer will feature Summer camps producing Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr and Mean Girls Jr providing summer experiences for anyone ages 3-18. More information about KOS its shows and how to get tickets can be found on their website.
