Kids On Stage presents Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr.

Kids On Stage (KOS) will perform Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. on July 22, 2022, through July 24, 2022, at the Greene County Wellness Center.

“The Little Mermaid Jr. is such a dream come true for many of our KOS cast members,” said Parker Harris, the Founding Artistic Director of Kids On Stage. “It is a show we have wanted to do for a long time and to have the opportunity to do it this summer is a dream!”

This musical is just like the movie. A young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home behind and live in the world above the sea. She will first have to defy her father, King Triton. Then make a deal with Ursula, the evil sea witch. Lastly, she will have to convince Prince Eric that she is the girl whose voice he has been waiting for.

“If you have seen The Little Mermaid movie, this musical is that same story set live on stage. It includes classic songs like ‘Under The Sea’ and ‘Part of Your World’ along with characters like Ariel, Flounder, and Ursula. It is a show for the whole family!" says Harris.

Patrons have four different opportunities to see this show. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or at www.gckidsonstage.org. July 22 at 7:00 pm, July 23 at 2:00 pm, July 23 at 7:00 pm, and July 24 at 3:00 pm. Doors will open 45 minutes before the show.

“We have a cast and crew of over 65 kids working on this show, and from the few rehearsals that I have had a chance to watch, audiences can expect great things from these three through 12-year-olds,” said Harris.

“The Little Mermaid JR closes our 2021-2022 season and makes way for some incredible shows coming up,” said Harris. “Registration is currently open on our website for our productions of Disney’s Newsies and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR! We have something for everyone ages 3-21 and really encourage anyone who wants to be involved in a community of musical theater to check us out! Performances begin in late October for Newsies and early November for Beauty and the Beast JR!”
