Kids On Stage Presents The SpongeBob Musical

Kids On Stage Presents The SpongeBob Musical

Kids On Stage will perform Nickelodeon’s “The SpongeBob Musical” June 17, 2022 through June 19, 2022, at the Greene County Wellness Center. Take a dip into Bikini Bottom to see some of your favorite characters come to life.

“I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about SpongeBob, but I can assure you, this is not the cartoon,” said Founding Artistic Director Parker Harris. “When you come to see The SpongeBob Musical, it will not just be an episode from SpongeBob, it truly stands on its own. This musical is a completely new and original story and is supported by a playlist of incredible songs by artists everyone will know!”

This musical features original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley.

The SpongeBob Musical tells the story of what happens in Bikini Bottom when “The Best Day Ever” is met with the total annihilation of everything these characters know and love.

Harris said, “Chaos and fear spread throughout the town, but SpongeBob is there and the show follows him, Patrick, and Sandy as they try to save Bikini Bottom! The message is relevant, the songs are incredible, and this cast is outstanding. It is such a fun and colorful story with lots of hope and heart that I truly believe both adults and kids will love!”

Patrons have four different opportunities to see this show. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or at www.gckidsonstage.org. June 17 at 7:00 pm, June 18 at 2:00 pm, June 18 at 7:00 pm, and June 19 at 3:00 pm. Doors will open 45 minutes before the show.

“This is one of the largest musicals we have ever produced at Kids On Stage,” said Harris. “Complete with over 100 costumes, massive props & set pieces, crazy special effects, and lots of bubbles, The SpongeBob Musical is huge and we are so excited about bringing it to Eastern NC.”
