Arrest made after high-speed chase and gun discovery in KPD stop
KPD's Violent Crime Action Team initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle for vehicle violations. As detectives attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to stop and accelerated to a higher speed. During this time the driver, Randall McNeal, was seen attempting to hide something. The vehicle came to a stop a short time later and McNeal was removed from the vehicle. A safety frisk was conducted and detectives located a concealed handgun in the area McNeal was attempting to hide something. McNeal was arrested and placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond for the following:
-Possession of Firearm by Felon
-Carrying Concealed Gun
-No Operators License
-Speeding
-Failure to Heed Blue Lights & Siren
