Lenoir County Public School moves to optional face covering in all facilities

The Lenoir County School Board held an emergency meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 to discuss the face covering policy. School districts are required to review the face covering policy at least once a month.

With the Free the Smiles Act passed in both the NC House and Senate, the governer’s update on his recommendation on mask mandates, and a reduction in COVID-19 cases, the board made the decision to review the current face mask policy.

Effective immediately, the Lenoir County School Board accepted the recommendation to move to optional face coverings for all students, staff, and visitors in all facilities. Masks will still be required on the bus.
