Greene County votes to move mask optional effective February 15, 2022

Greene County Board of Education met this morning to discuss Covid-19 protocols. They voted to move mask optional for students and staff effective February 15, 2022.

Also, NCDHHS released an updated version of the StrongSchoolsNC Toolkit last week. The most significant change is that individual contact tracing and exclusion from school of asymptomatic people after an identified exposure, regardless of location, is no longer recommended. The changes will go into effect on Monday, February 21. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse at your child’s school.
