Parrott Academy begins on campus mask-optional policy

In a recent email to parents, Arendell Parrott Academy announced plans to make adjustments to COVID-19 policies effective Monday, February 14, 2022. Those plans include mask-optional for students, staff, visitors, and sporting events, and continuing to require masks on buses and vans in compliance with federal law.

Arendell Parrott Academy plans to make the following adjustments to the COVID-19 policies effective Monday, February 14, 2022.

  • APA will be mask-optional for Transition-12th grade students, faculty, and staff regardless of vaccination status. APA will continue to follow the NC Strong Schools Toolkit as it pertains to quarantine guidelines for COVID-19 diagnosis and symptoms.

  • Masks will continue to be required on buses and vans in compliance with federal law.

  • Masks may be required in certain classrooms upon approval by the administration. Parents will be contacted if their child’s class is required to wear a mask in a certain classroom.

  • Masks will be optional for volunteers and visitors while on campus; this includes assemblies and sporting events.

  • If you have not already done so, please indicate your mask-optional choice and vaccination status on our website.
