A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for a state-of-the-art 48,000 square foot hanger at flyExclusive. The new hanger serves as the latest installment and investment for the company’s growing Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhaul (MRO) business division. This expansion brings nearly 200 new jobs to the area.

“We’re excited to officially cut the ribbon on our latest investment in the community,” said President and COO Tommy Sowers.

Started in 2015 by Jim Segrave, the CEO and founder, flyExclusive has grown year over year in both employees and fleets. This year flyExclusive added 300 new jobs and hopes to reach 1,000 by the end of the year. They also ranked as the number two private jet company in the country.

Segrave is, “Excited about opening this new facility.”

Due to their growth, over 150 new jobs were added in the maintenance department, and he anticipates an additional 100 more jobs as they build out the facility. Because of this growth, they have been able to become a 24 hour a day, seven days a week maintenance facility. The company added a second and third shift, and plan to be fully staffed within the next six months.

“The growth alone is not the vision,” said Segrave. “Can we grow stronger based here in Kinston? Absolutely, we have already proven that.”
