The following inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:

Mis Tesoros Taqueria

202 S Pine Street, Pink Hill

Date: 6/25

Score: 91

Observations:

No certified food protection manger present.

Random foods in walk-in fridge are between 41F and 45F.

Shredded cabbage, sliced tomatoes and torn lettuce in to-lift fridge have no date marked.

Major leak from ceiling, dripping on food and food storage.

Shelving in walk-in is wet due to humidity.

Service area outside does not function, no water.

Much water standing on and running across floor in walk-in due to ceiling leak.

No certified food protection manager present.

Boxes of packaged food on the floor in the walk-in fridge are on wet floor due to major ceiling/roof leak.

Some open boxes of raw meats on floor in freezer.

One set of tongs is dripping grease, and one knife has dried on food particles.

Deli meat in display case is 60F.

Salsa rojo, salsa verde, deli meats, and cheeses are not date marked.

Few containers of dry ingredients have no labels.

Several flies in meat market.

Walk-in fridge has major ceiling leak and most all shelving is wet due to humidity.

Doors of meat display case have mildew. Tracks for doors have debris.

Floor tiles in disrepair in meat market floor.

Ceiling leak, water standing in floor.


Lighthouse Food Mart

Observations:

No certified food protection manager present.

Food employee begins washing hands in 2-comp utensil sink once food is ordered, and then moved to hand wash sink.

Food employee cuts off faucet with bare hand.

Wieners, unopened box, on drainboard of room temp. are 50-55F.

Chili is not date marked.

Dial type thermometer is borderline accuracy.

Several flies in kitchen and restroom.

Containers of mustard and ketchup stored in freezer below personal food.

Wet wiping cloth stored on sink divider.

Napkins and paper towels stored in back room unpackaged.

Food prep area has damaged wood.

Gasket hanging off bottom of freezer.

Cabinet under hand wash sink soiled.

Slow leak in pipe under 3-comp sink.

Commode has dried feces on walls of bowl.

Dumpster has no plug.

Ceiling in kitchen is sprayed and not easily cleanable.

Ceiling in restroom has much dust.

Lighting over food prep area is not shielded.

Freezer operates as a fridge.

Several black food storage pans have not been cleaned thoroughly.

Chemicals stored over clean linen on shelving in back room.

Two dial thermometers are not accurate.

Several flies.

Food employee wears ring that is not smooth.

Some dust, debris inside cabinets and cubbies.

Inside wall of 2-door fridge in hallway is soiled.

Urinal and commode in men's restroom soiled.

Dumpster door open.

No plug in dumpster.

Debris on ground inside enclosure around dumpster.

Floors soiled, especially under equipment.

Observations:

Wipes nose several times but does not wash hands afterwards.

Few packages of raw meat are either not stored according to bacterial load or stored above ready-to-eat foods.

Few pans, meat-cutting scissors, slicer, and 3-comp sink have not been cleaned thoroughly.

Few foods in 2 deli cases are above 41F and range from 37-50F.

No foods are date marked.

Portioned slaw, potato salad, and snack sticks in customer case are only labeled with the name of the food.

Multiple flies.

Commode has thick pink slime ring at water level. Base of toilet soiled.

Hand wash sink in cutting room has black crud.

Wet wiping cloths laying in sinks, on prep tables, on drain boards.

Several dishes stacked wet.

Sugar bin, inside and outside of fridge units, carts, floors, walls, and prep sinks need additional cleaning.

A portion of drain pipe under prep sink had come off.

Walls and ceilings need additional cleaning.
