Kinston Police investigate homicide

On Monday, July 12, 2021, at approximately 10:37 pm, Kinston Police Officers responded to a call of a person who was shot in the area of the 700 block of Harding Avenue. The preliminary investigation reveals that one man was shot while in the front yard of the residence by an unknown assailant(s). Despite life-saving measures, Terrence Plymouth, 22, of Kinston, died at the scene. The assailant(s) fled the area in an unknown direction. This is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Kinston Police Department.
