WoodmenLife Chapter 46 donates $35,000 for restrooms at Pearson Park

During the most recent City Council meeting, the City Council accepted the WoodmenLife Chapter 46 donation of $35,000 for bathrooms at Pearson Park.

“Pearson Park is considered to be a crown jewel within Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation and is a primary location for a multitude of special events and community gatherings,” wrote Corey Povar, Director of Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation to the mayor and city council members.

The Kinston/ Lenoir County Parks and Recreation is hoping this addition will have a huge improvement on Pearson Park.

“I’m excited about the funding,” said Mayor Dontario Hardy. “And the collaboration to come across to be able to put the restrooms there is a big deal.”
