Reece Gardner: Control and destruction

Today, I want to talk briefly about the Covid-19 virus and the unrest in various cities in our country. There are definite connections, having to do with control and destruction.

First, this announcement from New York City Mayor Diblasio on August 5: "We have something new in New York City." He went on to state that henceforth travelers from various other states (named below) must quarantine for two weeks at their final destination to help quell the spread of the COVID19 Virus. He stated that checkpoints are now set up at key entry points to the city, such as major bridge & tunnel crossings, and that travelers coming in from those other states will be given information about the quarantine.

He then said this: "They will be reminded that this is required, not optional, and that failure to quarantine is a violation of state law and those who violate this mandate can be fined up to $10,000." He also stated that New Yorkers who visit any of the designated states must also quarantine and that this mandate has the support of New York Governor Cuomo. Among the states designated are: Alaska, California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia. This is control gone wild!

Now, about the unrest.

Ron Thompson, author and ABCTV commentator, reports that while Antifa has been identified as the primary driver of the violent riots engulfing some of our major American cities, there is a critical second arm of this effort that has been around longer and has deep roots along with possible foreign connections, and that arm is Communism. Thompson points out that Communists have been trying to destroy America for many years, and that "We've seen a disturbing rise in American public support for Socialism and Communism, which translates into resources and manpower on the ground for these Anti-American assaults."

Thompson further stated that while the Communist movement, unlike Antifa, is getting very little media attention, it is nevertheless weaving its Marxist-Socialist agenda into various tensions to fan the flames, create chaos, and destabilize. As I said in a previous column, this continuing chaos has little or nothing to do with racism or any other grievances. It has everything to do with the massive attempt to destroy our Constitution.

But that effort will not succeed. We live in the greatest country on the face of the earth where blessings abound every day, by God's love and grace.

Now, to close with a little humor: An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted with a set of hearing aids that allowed him to hear 100%. A month later he went back to the doctor, and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be very pleased that you can hear again." The old gentleman replied, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to their conversations. I've changed my will three times!"
