Letter to the editor: The North Carolina Federation of Republican Men (NCFRM) stands behind President Trump

The North Carolina Federation of Republican Men (NCFRM) stands behind President Trump in holding the individual States accountable for a fair and just election. Voter integrity should be the top priority without compromise.

Going into election season we knew that 40-45% of all ballots would be cast by mail, not the usual 2-3%. This was certain to open up Pandora’s Box by overloading the US Postal Service and possibly affecting the integrity of the ballot count, but they did it anyway. There are now allegations of computerized vote fixing and an investigation is underway.

While there are other issues that will be addressed in the Courts in the coming days and weeks, please remember, the media does not determine the outcome of an election. Though North Carolina may appear safely in the “red”, the jury is still out on Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada where the true margin is questionable.

While we congratulate all clear winners in this election year, we emphasize the fact that we are nowhere near determining the winner in some races, not just the office of President of these United States. Already knowing that the integrity of this election is low on the accountability scale, we should not allow the news media narrative to control our thinking and emotions. The news media doesn’t get to choose the winner, yet they have already declared Biden President-elect. Educated voters should reject any notion to the contrary.

Moving forward, the NCFRM will continue to advocate for the Republican platform, fair and just election processes, and help Republicans get elected to public office. Let us all pray for a favorable outcome for President Trump and North Carolina races that may be affected by the absentee ballot count.

Bob Pruett, President & John Nix, Vice President
North Carolina Federation of Republican Men (NCFRM)
