Lenoir County Sheriff's Office closed starting tomorrow due to an exposure to COVID-19

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Administrative Offices will be closed to the public starting tomorrow until Friday November 20th due to a COVID Exposure.

Sheriff Ingram states, “we have been notified of a COVID exposure within our office and we are following guidelines set forth from the Lenoir County Health Director. This closure is taken as a precaution to prevent any further direct exposure to our staff and our citizens. The personnel affected are our civilian clerical staff that work in our Administrative Offices. Please know this exposure has not affected myself, Major Dawson or any of our deputies thus far and we will continue all Sheriff’s Office duties including patrol, investigations and court services. I humbly ask our great Citizens for prayers for our staff and your patience as we work through this time.”

During this time, the Sheriff’s Office will not be able to complete fingerprints, take new or further process any current pistol purchase permits or concealed weapon permits until we are able to reopen with our clerical staff. We apologize for the delay in any current permits that are pending.

If you call the Sheriffs Office during this closure, the phones will be transferred to the Lenoir County Emergency Services 911 Center. The wonderful staff at the 911 center will work their hardest to assist you during this time.
