Lenoir County Sheriff's Office make Kinston drug and firearm arrest

According to a press release from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, on December 26, 2019, Lenoir County Patrol Deputies went to 947 Dawson Station Rd in an attempt to serve a felony warrant on Kristofer Tyson from a recent shooting into an occupied vehicle incident that previously took place.

Lenoir County Deputies located Tyson hiding in a bedroom of the residence attempting to avoid arrest. As a result of this incident, Deputies did locate Tyson and arrested him. Deputies also arrested Jasmine Ebbert at the residence.

During the arrest, deputies saw evidence of crimes in plain view and found drugs on Tyson when he was taken into custody. Based on this, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the search, deputies seized a shotgun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine controlled substances.

Krisotpher Tyson was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of firearm by felon, possession of schedule II controlled substance, identify theft, resisting public officer and child support order for arrest. He was confined in the Lenoir County Sheriff's Detention Center under an $80,000 secured bond and a $1,908 cash child support purge.

Jasmine Ebbert was arrested and charged with resisting public officer and was confined in the Lenoir County Sheriff's Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
