The Rams went 1-1 last week, with the junior making the biggest impact in the win. After scoring eight points in a 55-42 loss to Kinston Jan. 29, Corbitt bounced back with 22 against North Lenoir three days later, including 20 in the first half of a 76-65 victory.

Taniejah Mitchell, South Lenoir, basketball

Mitchell played a big role in the Blue Devils’ victories last week. The senior had 20 points and 15 rebounds in a 48-34 win over Ayden-Grifton, then followed with 17 points in a 49-26 victory against West Craven two days later.
