Imajae Dodd, Greene Central, basketball

Dodd assisted the Rams to a trio of victories last week. The senior scored seven points in an 86-48 win over North Pitt on Dec. 10 before getting 20 in a 77-51 victory against Washington a day later. Greene Central defeated Kinston 64-58 in overtime on Dec. 14 and Dodd had 17 points and eight blocks in the win.

Ashanti Lynch, North Lenoir basketball

Lynch helped the Hawks to a 2-1 record last week and had big games in the victories. The freshman poured in 29 points in a 72-28 victory over West Craven on her birthday Dec. 11, 10 in a 60-55 loss to Eastern Wayne a day later and bounced back with 25 as North Lenoir beat Washington 64-39 on Dec. 14.
