Lenoir County Public Schools Career Development Coordinator Jessica Shimer, North Lenoir marketing teacher Ashley Heath and nearly two dozen North Lenoir students had already toured the Down East Wood Ducks offices and Grainger Stadium, the Community Council for the Arts and Mother Earth Motor Lodge before visiting Neuse News and Art 105.

Editor Bryan Hanks, sports writer Junious Smith III, office manager Aleatha Thrower and Art 105/Potter Photography owner/operator Brandon Potter gave the students a tour that included learning about journalism in the 21st century. They visited the Neuse News video studio and Potter’s Art 105 complex that includes 20 studio spaces.

For students, educators and classes who are interested in future tours of Neuse News and Art 105, email Hanks at bryan@neusenews.com.
