Letter to the Editor: Joseph Noble for Chris Humphrey

Dear Editor,

It is with great enthusiasm and confidence that I write this letter of endorsement for Mr. Chris Humphrey for N.C. House. It has been my personal pleasure to have known Chris for over 30 years. Like many of you, Chris grew up in Lenoir County where he attended our public schools, played sports, participated in scouting and attended Church. He understands the changes that have taken place over the years and he has a passion for the people and businesses that call Kinston and Lenoir County home.  

Chris was raised by hardworking parents who instilled the values of honesty, integrity, dedication, patriotism, and compassion from an early age. I can attest to his upbringing as his parents required me to adhere to and honor these same values when I stayed in their home. He has served in several roles in local leadership including eight years as a Lenoir County Commissioner, three years on the La Grange Town Council and he has served as President of the LaGrange Chamber of Commerce.  

I admire that Chris has built a thriving, local small business and that he knows how to make payroll for his employees. He understands the challenges of today’s business market and he has led a successful small business under difficult economic circumstances for many years.  

Chris is a thinker and a listener. He is not the type to come in with some new idea, throw it at the wall, and hope that it sticks. I appreciate the fact that he has prepared for office by logging countless hours meeting with others throughout our community not to make campaign promises but to hear the issues that matter to the people he so deeply desires to serve. He has demonstrated his support for Lenoir County Public Schools and he has visited with school leaders and teachers so that he can be an asset and a voice for the challenges that a smaller school system, like ours, endures.  

As a veteran educator, I know that I can trust Chris to advocate for the changes that we need at the State level so that we can have the most positive impact on our Counties most precious resource, our children. 

Chris has remained the same humble and honest friend that I have known for most of my life, he has always been a phone call away when needed. We all need a friend like Chris Humphrey in the North Carolina House. He has the integrity, experience, and desire to serve Kinston and Lenoir County. I have no reservation in giving Chris Humphrey my highest recommendation and endorsement for N.C House. If elected, we will all have a friend and a voice in the House that will be just a phone call away. Please vote Chris Humphrey for N.C. House.
