KPD's C-Squad responded to a residence on Waverly Avenue for a report of shots fired within a residence. Officers arrived on scene and their investigation revealed that convicted felon - Sean Croom (50 of Kinston) accused his uncle of stealing his firearm.
Joseph Allen Wade, 27, was arrested today following a months-long investigation by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office detectives. They were notified of a report of sexual allegations from the Onslow County Department of Social Services on March 8 involving a juvenile victim that occurred in Lenoir County. The reported incident occurred during May 2021 and August 2022.

The South Lenoir FFA Chapter held their annual Banquet in May. The FFA Banquet is a one time a year event for students to get recognized for their hard work and dedication in the organization. Keynote speaker Jason Brown, a retired NFL player, spoke on the importance of agriculture and service to our community.
