Exciting potential for Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins coming to Kinston
Residents of Kinston may soon have a new spot to satisfy their sweet cravings as plans for a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins combo establishment have surfaced. The proposed location, according to information available on the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services website, is set for 1005 West New Bern Road, commonly known as Skinner’s Bypass.

Greene County Hosts Annual Special Olympics
Snow HIll - On Friday, April 25, 2024, Greene County hosted the annual Special Olympics at the Athletic Complex of Greene Central High School. This year Greene County hosted 74 Athletes and 22 Young Athletes. The event has been held for over 30 years and each year the success of the athletes are celebrated by a multitude of people.

Greene County Schools Hosts 9th Annual STEM EXPO
Snow HIll – Greene County Schools hosted the 9th Annual STEM Expo on Thursday, April 25. This year the Expo was a multi-site experience with STEM students from Greene Central, GCMS, and GEC leading stations and sharing their creations. Students from West Greene, Snow Hill Primary, and Greene County Intermediate got a first-hand experience of what STEM looks and feels like later in their school career.

Felony child abuse charge upgraded to first degree murder
A man who was previously charged with three felony child abuse charges has had one of the charges upgraded to first degree murder.
