Arrest made after gunshots fired in the air on Ivy Road
The Kinston Police Department responded to a report of a subject in a vehicle fired a gun in the air on Ivy Road. Officers located the vehicle and identified the Stanley Miller. During the encounter, officers observed a firearm inside the vehicle that was in plain view.

Myrtle Ellen Murphy Howard, 86, of Snow Hill, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Greendale Forest Nursing Home.
